Fishing near Punta Gorda and Charlotte Harbor
Charlotte Harbor connects Punta Gorda to a broad tarpon fishery, including waters toward Boca Grande. Tarpon move as the season and conditions change; the boat’s fishing location is chosen for the day, not from a fixed town label. Capt. Andy has guided these waters since 1998 and focuses on tarpon from April through October.
Early-season movement in the harbor and stronger tides around the spring and summer moons can offer different styles of fishing. Later in the year can also be productive. Ask Capt. Andy about your particular dates rather than relying on a blanket “best day” claim.
Your charter options
Six-, eight- and ten-hour trips are available depending on the schedule. The rate covers the entire boat for one to three people; a fourth is extra, with a maximum of four anglers. Capt. Andy provides rods, reels, bait, tackle, fishing-license coverage, ice and a cooler. Bring food, drinks and sun protection.
Pickup is limited to selected locations arranged in advance. Punta Gorda pickup is not automatic. Capt. Andy will confirm where you can meet after discussing the trip plan.

Capt. Andy is a fifth-generation Floridian and U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain. He personally guides the charter, explains the tackle and adjusts the day as fish movement or weather changes. His focus is a good fishing experience and responsible treatment of tarpon, with no promise of a particular catch.
