Charlotte Harbor is a large, changing fishery. Tarpon may move through open water, along shorelines or toward the passes as the season develops. Capt. Andy watches tides, bait, wind and fish movement to choose the plan. The trip may be different from what worked only a few days earlier.
April can bring opportunities with fish moving and feeding around the harbor. In late spring and summer, trips may also involve Boca Grande Pass and nearby waters. Capt. Andy focuses on tarpon through October and can discuss later-season conditions when you call.

Methods can include live bait and light tackle, with spinning or conventional gear chosen for the conditions. Capt. Andy explains the tackle, helps with the fight and handles fish with care at boatside. Both new and experienced tarpon anglers are welcome.
The boat includes rods, reels, bait, tackle, fishing-license coverage, ice and an onboard cooler. Bring food, drinks and sun protection. If you bring a guest cooler, it must fit below deck and be small and soft-sided or collapsible.

Choose from six-, eight- and ten-hour options for up to four anglers. Meeting points are limited and arranged in advance. Capt. Andy is based in El Jobean, Florida, but the exact pickup location depends on the trip plan and his available docks.
Contact Capt. Andy to discuss available dates and reserve your trip. Call or text 941-769-1582 or email captandyboyette@gmail.com. Pickup is available at selected locations by arrangement.
