A day built around the tarpon
Capt. Andy plans each charter around the tides, weather and fish movement. Some days the approach is different from what worked the day before. He explains the tackle and the plan, helps each angler through the fight, and treats these powerful fish with care.
Whether it is your first tarpon trip or one of many, the aim is a personal day on the water. There is no guarantee of a hookup or landing, but you will fish with a guide who has focused on Boca Grande area tarpon since 1998.

Tarpon season in Southwest Florida
Capt. Andy targets tarpon from April through October. The Boca Grande area offers changing opportunities through the season, including the stronger tidal flow around full and new moons. Fishing can be good beyond those moon periods; the right date depends on conditions and the experience you want.
We fish the Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor and nearby Gulf area. Pickup is arranged in advance at selected locations. Please contact Capt. Andy before making travel plans around a particular meeting point.
What to expect
Fishing tackle, bait and ice are provided. Bring your own drinks and food, sun protection and clothing for the weather. A guest cooler needs to be small and soft-sided or collapsible so it fits below deck.
