I grew up fishing Southwest Florida and made a career of guiding anglers here. Since 1998 I have taken clients out to pursue tarpon and other local fish; during tarpon season, from April through October, I focus on tarpon. The challenge of finding them and helping someone through that first big fight still matters to me.
When you book with me, you are booking a trip I guide personally. I am a working captain, not a booking directory. I plan around tides, weather and where fish are moving, and I explain what we are doing as the day unfolds. First-timers get hands-on instruction; experienced anglers get a plan suited to their goals.

Tarpon can use the pass, harbor, beaches and nearby Gulf waters at different points in the season. That variety is why I do not promise a fixed fishing location. We talk about your dates and pick a meeting point from the locations I use, then work with the conditions on your trip.
I carry quality tackle and the fishing-license coverage needed for my charter. Safety, clear expectations and respectful handling of tarpon come before promises about the number or size of fish.
“There are three types of fishermen: those who fish for sport, those who fish for fish, and those who fish for tarpon.”
